The Gujarat Greatness

I was talking to a bloke today and I said to him that I write poems in Hindustani (Hindi-Urdu), the lingua franca of most of Northern India and he said to me and I quote, "Don't say that in Gujarat, they will kill you" and I understood immediately that he is a religiously prejudiced bastard and so I replied, "Hindustani is a mixture of Hindi and Urdu" and he repeated, "Don't say that in Gujarat, they will kill you".

That's the level of hatred in few of my countrymen.

Just, so he knows, if it wasn’t for the Gujarat Sultanate, Hindi and Urdu wouldn’t even have been born because that’s one of the places where the languages Sanskrit and Persian first met each other.
